About

Ads for News has the simple purpose of enabling brands to strengthen the communities they sell into by advertising with news media reporting on those communities.

Launched in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, Ads for News is an initiative of Internews, a media support nonprofit working in 100+ countries, working with media investment agencies, major brands, and technology platforms to ensure the survival of local journalism across the world.

Our daily operations leverage Internews’ global network of in-country experts to gain an in-depth understanding of news media so we can collect the data needed for the advertising industry to include news – especially local news – in media planning, marketplaces and other associated programmatic advertising technologies.
